The input carries `aria-expanded` and `aria-activedescendant`, which follow the panel and the highlighted row.
Status
The support line describes errors and hints; a disabled or read-only field does not open the panel.
Keyboard and focus
The caret stays in the field while the highlight moves through the list.
Moving
ArrowDown and ArrowUp move the highlight through the rows. `autoSelectFirst` puts it on the first row whenever the rows change.
Committing
Enter selects the highlighted row. Escape closes the panel and restores the draft; Tab leaves the field and restores it too.
