The semantic root and accessible name must match the actual message.
Accessible name
A rendered title labels the alert and body content describes it; an explicitly supplied icon stays decorative.
Status
announce maps type to role and politeness, and can be overridden or turned off per alert.
Keyboard and focus
The component supports expected controls without creating focus traps.
Tab order
Only the actions and the close control enter the focus order; the surface itself is not focusable.
Focus return
Without an activator the alert cannot guess a return target — restore focus in the close handler.
